I love a good quote. I love typography. I love typography with a quote and pretty picture. |
As much as I love me some quotes, I cannot for the life of me ever remember them. You know those people who can quote classic movie lines and can go for hours? I'm not one of those people. Although, I don't rewatch movies very often either. That is why if I see a good quote I might be rushing to put it on this blog before I forget. This is in hopes that possibly through writing about it, I will remember.
You know those getting to know you questions that occur sometimes at work related functions or Pamper Chef parties? Everyone go around the room and tell us your name and a little bit about yourself. Or if your life were a movie what genre would it be and what movie star would play you in the movie of your life? For one, who comes up with these questions? Two, does anyone else abhor these little activities as much as I do? I know it's coming and I know I have no possible answer for this question. Everyone else is coming up with all these clever, witty answers and I've got nothing. I need to get my hands on a list of these questions and come up with something good that I can use over and over again. Sometimes I hate me!
Moving on...
I liked this quote, because it got me thinking about how much I bite my tongue or do not say how I really feel about things in order to avoid confrontation, offending anyone, hurting peoples feelings, etc. I catch on pretty quick as to what I can and cannot talk about with whoever I am with at the moment. It would be nice to live in a world where we could all speak with no inhibitions and it not affect any of our relationships or reputations.
How many people truly know who you really are? It's amazing when you find those few friends who you can truly be yourself around. The type of friends who tell you like it is and you do the same. You know that whatever they might do and say doesn't even matter because you know they care about you this much. My arms are stretched out showing how much. Even though you can't see me, you get the idea. It only makes your friendship stronger. Even on this blog, I watch what I write about and though I carefully think before I type I have already had some minor repercussions. To that I say, read the above quote. Those who mind don't matter. I like it!
